Camping de Nevers is located on the banks of the River Loire, just a short walk from the centre of Nevers. Its location gives easy access to a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops while still offering a convenient place to camp if visiting the nearby Circuit de Nevers in Magny-Cours.

My Thoughts on Camping de Nevers

I found this one on Pitchup when looking for somewhere to stay during the World Superbike round at Magny-Cours. It offered a quieter alternative to camping at Magny-Cours itself so I stayed two nights in September 2023.

There was an on-site bar and café serving food every evening, while the city centre was less than a five-minute walk away.

The campsite itself was full of people there for the racing so appears to be a popular choice. There was no lack of people to chat to in the evenings. Camping this close to a city is not usually my thing, but I'd happily stay here again if I return to Magny-Cours for the WSBK.

Things to Consider

• Basic

• Assigned pitches, with very little shade

• Close to the city so can be noisy and I'd advise locking your bike up at night
