Rhein-Camping
So good I came back! I stayed here on the way home in 2023, there is plenty of space for tents and a large indoor area with showers, washing facilities, a communal area with tables and chairs and a very nice restaurant.
The campsite is located at the southern end of the B500 and the Black Forest in Germany, and on the Swiss border so is ideally located for a final stop before crossing into Switzerland for all the delights that holds. The final cherry on top is that it is next to the river Rhein and there are small 'beaches' which make going in for a swim nice and easy.
I wasn't planning to go back in 2024 but when the weather took a turn for the worse while I was in the area it was a no brainer. I was able to eat in the restaurant and sit inside until I was ready for bed rather than being confined to my tent. I met some amazing people whilst sheltering from the weather on this stay!
